Here, do something impossible today. But you won't KNOW it's impossible until you've been working on it for four hours. Then, when you realize it's impossible, and the only people that can help won't talk to you because your boss didn't add your name as an admin, that's when your boss won't be available. OH- and do this same impossible thing a thousand times before the month is out. All by yourself. With no help, and no one to even answer the phone or the door or go get the mail for you. And HAHAHAHAHAHAHA if you think you're going to get anyone to care that you're crying at your desk all day every day for a full month.

I wrote a referral for a kindergarten student who threw a chair today, and documented all of my interventions. Admin suspended the student. Parent asked me for documentation. I told her that I documented the incident but for other documentation to contact the admin. Admin called me at 6:30 me because parent is PISSED. I gently remind admin that I didn't suspend the student; he did. He asks me what I am doing to support the student and I list literally everything that could possibly be done. I'm following his Behavior Plan to a T. Sorry dude. You suspended him, not me, and it's not my first trip to the rodeo, LOL

Before anyone starts berating teachers, just think about the fact that at any moment, at their job which is full of bureaucracy, red tape, tied hands (metaphorically), a hundred bosses (every parent thinks they are the boss, along with administration AND school boards).... just think about all that, the fact that the pay is mediocre at best, and the cherry on top is that at any moment, one of your students could just show up with an assault weapon and mow down anyone that gets in their path. Like what happened in Michigan yesterday, for like the 650th time this year alone. It's a shit job that nobody wants to do anymore. Can you blame them? I can't.

As someone who has worked in patient care and administration, I don't know which abuse is worse lol. But yes, let Gen Z handle the Boomers, as they should. I hope you love your new position. At the very least you can rest assured you won't be pooped on. So there's THAT. Haha

I did it! Finally secured a position that has zero patient care! Never had an admin job before, and I'm a little intimidated, but soooo excited to not be abused anymore by a-hole patients. I loved nursing; I devoted my entire adult life to caring for others, but I'm done. This generation of elders broke me. I miss the cranky WWII vets. I'm gonna let the Gen Z nurses handle the boomers. I'm out.

You know who does know ? The virologists who researched this vaccine for decades. Nurses trusting internet researchers instead of the actual researchers are saying, "We don't really trust the scientific process." And that's scary. These same people who refuse the vaccine have no issue administering and taking other medications that are new every, single day. No one expects "fucking gynecologists and anesthesiologists and everyone in between to become virologists." We expect them to trust the actual virologists like they do every other speciality. Instead they trust people with no scientific training whatsoever because they read it on the internet.

Called mom to tell her about my grandma's recent fall. She quickly changes the subject to the Afghanistan situation, cries, cusses at me, flips me off because I voted for Biden. I kept calm because I knew for a fact she was drunk, I didn't tell her about the 5,000 Taliban soldiers released last year or the deals that were made under the former administration because she wasn't in the head space to even listen. "Call me when you're sober and calm." She hangs up on me and is now on FB giving a tirade and putting up "Bring back Trump" posts. She keeps sending me emotional tiktoks. Maybe it's time to distance myself from the circus.

Is Trump really going to blame Biden for Afghanistan when he released thousands of prisoners including the new Taliban member who has decided he is the new leader of the country? Don't get me wrong, I do think the Biden administration is pretty incompetent and have done a lot to make the situation worse, but there's a difference between incompetence and just an entire fucking shitshow like Trump. Also, when the US government going to fucking learn that every time they interfere with these countries, they leave things worse off? Anyone would think they're destabilizing that area of the world deliberately .... perish the thought.

Teacher Life pt 2- I have worked here for three years and sat through a million meetings that were not relevant to my job. This is the one time he's given me more than 15 minutes on the agenda. I can see now that when we discussed this and he said he was giving me 90 minutes that he didn't really think it through or believe it was important. I sent him a proposal last spring for improving special education planning and collaboration and I'm positive he hasn't read it even though we've met about it twice. I put a lot of energy into advocating for Special Education and teachers in general in my district, but have always let Admins roll over me at my own site because I was too busy fighting for everyone else. I'm done with that. My students are going to get what they need, and what they need is to be part of the plan for the school! Period!
