And, yes, he is genuinely one of the best human beings I know. With everything going on in the world, it's easy to feel like all men suck. But he completely restored my faith. He is genuinely one of the good ones. My 2nd week on the job, still feeling everything out, didn't really know Boss at all yet, a guy kept interrupting & talking over a women in a meeting (in tech, so happens a lot) . Boss absolutely shut him down & called him out on it. That's when I was like, OK, this guy's cool. By the time I finally met Boss in person, we had become pretty close & the chemistry was there. But he still asked if he could hug me. Consent is so sexy. Of course now there's an understanding that we can touch each other w/out asking & we do so a lot actually. He's never made me or anyone else feel stupid for asking a question or not knowing something. He's very non-judgmental. I just feel very safe with him. I hope we get to work together again, or at least stay a part of each other's orbit.

We're a constitutional republic, not a democracy. We've been a constitutional republic for over 200 yrs. Republicans want less federal govt involvement and give the power back to the states. When the power is in the hands of the states, voters make the decisions instead of the federal govt deciding for us. Republicans have turned more Libertarian. Liberal media has brainwashed people into thinking we're all going to die. Abortion rights weren't taken, the power was given to each state to decide where they are/aren't legal. Want an abortion? Vote for it in your state. Ever notice how liberals tend to have tons of diagnosed mental illnesses? Dems know its easy to prey on the weak, they're being pumped full of extreme propaganda. So many have gone off the deep end, some by unaliving themselves and their families....over an election....

1/2 For a second there, I literally thought that maybe I had posted this myself, and forgot about it - until I saw the date. Our stories are so similar. I also have memories back to age 2, right before my mom died, but then a lot is blocked. I was raised by relatives, the female of whom was severely abusive - physical, mental, verbal, and I believe sexual as well. I began exposing myself to friends as a young age, and encouraging them to do the same (I'm disgusted with this, although I now know there was a reason). I also started masturbating at a young age, and was very promiscuous towards the end of high school and until my mid-20s. I don't remember things I said in high school, but I remember being called a slut - and that was well before I even kissed a boy for the first time. I'm 55 now now, and a few years ago the memories started coming back. How another relative asked if this female who raised me had ever touched me. How I told a guy I'd met on vacation (CON'T)

I hate men. All of them. And forget that "not all men" bullshit. Yes, it is all men. All men are sexist. All men are content to let the women in their lives carry the bulk of the mental load and do most of the work. All men have objectified a woman. All men have laughed at a sexist joke. All men have stayed silent when their friend was being an asshole. All of them. And don't get me started on the mass shooting thing that just keeps happening. Women have just as much access to guns and all the reason in the world to be angry, and we're not shooting up bowling alleys and school. I am tired of living in fear and being told what I can and can't do with my body all because of men. I hate every, single one of them. Every one.

I hate all the pro-choice arguments that cite "good" reasons for abortion like rape, incest, life of the mother, etc. Any reason a woman chooses is a good reason. I'm 50 years old. When I was 24, I had an abortion. I had a really good job, insurance, and had known the father for years. You know why I had an abortion? Because I wanted one. I didn't want to be a mother yet. You know what else? It wasn't the hardest decision of my life. In fact, it wasn't hard at all. I wasn't depressed afterwards. It didn't take me long to get over it. The only thing I felt after my abortion was relief. That was it. Had it done and went about my business. It didn't affect my health, mental or otherwise. I went on to eventually get married and have two great kids. Never once regretted my abortion.

They say if you have mental illness talk about it. My mum basically invalidated my feelings and said I didn’t feel that way. My dad screamed at me about my responsibilities and how selfish I was to be thinking this way. My best friend immediately brushed off what I was saying with, “everybody went crazy during the pandemic” and again, invalidated me. My boyfriend basically said “there there” and moved on. Fucking hilarious. I am drowning and literally nobody cares. My advice is if you’re suicidal, don’t talk about it. Chances are if you’re suicidal your support network blows and I can tell you now, everybody is just going to make you feel more alone and worse. Then they gaslight you at your funeral with, “why didn’t she talk to uuuussssss?”

Mental healthcare in th US is a joke. I am currently trying to find a psychiatrist in my major metropolitan area for my daughter. In my entire metro area os 2.3 Million people, there are exactly ZERO psychiatrists who take my insurance and are seeing new patients.

233 shootings of four or more people since the start of the year. More shootings than days. But those "unborn children" are the real victims here. I'm starting to think these prolife gun nuts have ulterior motives, almost like they couldn't give a rat's fluffy behind about children. What a revelation. Now they're whining that it's a mental healthcare issue...so pro life, pro gun, anti universal healthcare but pro mental universal healthcare? No wonder right wingers are crazy, all these logical inconsistencies must melt your braincells.

It's mentally exhausting living every day knowing that literally nobody cares what I have to say. It gets to the point sometimes where I'm actually interrupted mid-sentence by someone telling me they don't want to hear what I'm saying. It hurts. It hurts having nobody to talk to. Nobody cares what I'm saying because nobody knows what I'm talking about. I have odd hobbies and interests. My job is also odd and I work alone. People think my job is boring and don't want to hear about that either. I guess I'm just lonely.

People will be stupid wherever I go. I've been doing this kind of work for a long ass time and I can tell you straight up- people are dumber than they've ever been. And what gets me is that they don't care! They refuse to listen, or follow instructions, they ask me to help keep them in compliance and then do the exact thing I tell them not to do and then they blame me when their shit is all fucked up. There is a really disturbing trend of willful ignorance. Which is basically fraud. And there's a mean-spirited-ness that wasn't there before. There is literally a dog-eat-dog mentality EVERYWHERE and no cooperation at all. Anywhere. Employers are more selfish than I've ever seen. Employees feel hopeless and helpless. And meanwhile- business is BOOMING and business owners are making money hand over fist! I feel like the whole fucking world is upside down. This covid shit has changed everything. Everyone is different. Not for the better. Including me.
